Storytelling skills for science communication

Content

No matter if you write a scientific paper, an article for the newspapers or a twitter message, the content you will try to convey will always be received better if it’s embedded in a narrative. But what are narratives made of? And how does that help to craft better science communication?

In this workshop you will learn and apply basic storytelling concepts on your research topic in order to reach your audiences more efficiently. You will learn the most important elements that make up good stories, analyze your science from the perspective of storytelling and finally apply the learned lessons on your research by thorough hands-on work on different formats. The nuts and bolts of classic science communication are also covered.
