Resource-focused stress management
Content | As a PhD student you tend to be faced with multiple stressors and strains, which can make working on your thesis difficult. This in turn, can increase the pressure on you even more. What strategies are there to help you get out of this negative stress spiral? The aim of the current course is to discover, practice, and strengthen your own psychological resources and personal solutions to help you return to your own “green zone” and stay there. The experiences of your PhD colleagues might serve as a source of inspiration. The approach used here, is in a first step to focus on finding and applying individual solutions and to analyse and understand the problems in a second step. And, maybe the solutions are not always connected to the problem? You will discuss and practice the resource-focused stress management techniques offered in this course in groups, in pairs, and individually. |
