Scientific writing in the sciences and medicine

Content   From a predominantly hypothesis-based, scientific point of view the following topics will be discussed:
  • how to structure each section of a manuscript
  • how to accurately describe research data
  • how to describe future research for a grant application
  • how to present scientific data on a poster and in a seminar
Learning Objectives   With the knowledge acquired in this course participants will be able to:
  • correctly and independently draft a scientific manuscript and a research proposal
  • extract key information from a published paper in shorter time
  • appropriately present scientific data on a poster or in a seminar

Target participants   This courses is aimed primarily at doctoral researchers in the natural sciences and medicine involved with hypothesis-based research writing.
